A VERY ACTIVE STUDENT LIFE ON CAMPUS

IAE encourages and supports student initiatives: student life is rich and dynamic!

Three associations enable students to get involved in a wide range of activities: festive, convivial, cultural, humanitarian, civic, sporting, professional and entrepreneurial! These projects promote integration, the creation of links, the assumption of responsibility and professionalization, as well as the building of networks and the practice of project and team management!

Aix-Marseille University, local authorities and the IAE provide financial support for these activities.

  • Student Office (BDE)

Led by an energetic team, the BDE and its various departments coordinate a wide variety of projects and events, all of which are sure to provide lasting memories of your time at IAE Aix-Marseille. In addition to the integration weekend, the ski weekend and the many themed evenings organized on a regular basis, we can mention the "culture & gastronomy" evening, humanitarian initiatives (blood donation, Sidaction, first-aid training...) and above all international events (international lunches, cultural visits to the region...)...

  • Sports Office (BDS)

The BDS's mission is to promote sport and bring students together through sporting events and meetings. The BDS orchestrates student participation in events such as the IAE French Cup. The school also vibrates to the rhythms of leisure sports such as Pom Pom, pétanque tournaments... Hikes are organized to reach the summit of Saint Victoire, the skyline of Aix-en-Provence.

In addition to leisure sports, the Aix-Marseille Université IAE sports association (AS AMU-IAE) prepares students for inter-university competitions in volleyball, rugby, basketball and soccer.

  • Propulse - Junior IAE Aix-Marseille

Created in 2008, Propulse, the IAE Aix-Marseille Junior, is a non-profit educational consulting association run by 21 volunteer Master's students. Its aim is to professionalize IAE Aix-Marseille students while supporting local companies in 4 areas of expertise (Marketing & Communication, Market Research, Financial Support, IS & Digital Transformation). Paid assignments enable students to apply their skills in a professional context.

FOOD AND LODGING

The IAE Aix-Marseille is located close to a major student city, Aix-en-Provence (one in four inhabitants is a student), which has all the infrastructure necessary for life during study and leisure.

  • Catering

In Puyricard, a CROUS university restaurant welcomes IAE students on campus. Aix-en-Provence has several university restaurants.

  • Housing

Public (10 CROUS residences) and private student residences are listed on the Adele.org website.

The city of Aix-en-Provence organizes an annual housing day for students in mid-July (more information on the Aix étudiant website).

Housing offers are available on the Aix-Marseille Université housing portal (Owners, you can post your offers on this portal!).

    CROUS housing :

Students must submit a dossier social étudiant (student social file) between January 15 and April 30 to the CROUS to apply for housing in a university hall of residence, even if they are not eligible for a grant.

Help with moving costs: advance on security deposit

The Visale subsidy is the successor to the Clé du Crous housing guarantee for young people, which is paid before the rental contract is set up. The Visale guarantee can be applied for online: once this procedure has been completed, the tenant can count on Action Logement to cover the rent and rental charges for his or her accommodation in the event of default. However, this assistance does not act as home insurance! Young students can run a simulation with an online quote to find the insurance they want for their accommodation. Good to know: Visale is limited to a rent of €1,500 in Paris and €1,300 in the rest of the country, for a maximum of 36 monthly payments. Once the keys have been handed over, students need to contact the various players involved in electricity, water, ADSL or fiber optics to ensure that everything is up and running as soon as they move in.

  • The Pays d'Aix, a heritage and art of living that's always been appreciated

IAE Aix-Marseille is located in the south of France, in Aix-en-Provence, an attractive and dynamic student city at the heart of a tourist and cultural region with a privileged climate.

  • Marseille, a thousand-year-old city resolutely turned towards the sea

The school benefits from its proximity to France's second-largest metropolis, Marseille, a major Mediterranean port and a major economic center in the south of France. The Aix-Marseille area is served by an international airport, two TGV stations (3 hours from Paris) and a dense motorway network.

  • Provence, a land of innovation

Provence is one of France's top destinations for foreign direct investment. It is home to renowned companies in cutting-edge sectors such as microelectronics, information technology and aeronautics. In recent years, large-scale, job-creating projects have been taking shape:

    • ITER, an international research and development project in the field of nuclear fusion.
    • Euroméditerranée, a European-scale urban renewal and economic development project in Marseille, focusing on services and maritime activities.
    • The Port of Marseille-Fos, with ambitious expansion plans.
    • Awarded the French Tech label in 2015, the region is an ecosystem conducive to innovation, with a dense fabric of start-ups, SMEs and companies at the cutting edge of their fields.

IAE AIX-MARSEILLE, A KEY PLAYER IN LOCAL TRAINING
