The development of universities has accelerated in recent years, supported by the PIA and IDEX programs. In 2021, these two initiatives have enabled Aix-Marseille Université to obtain the largest budgets of any French university. The integration of IAE Aix-Marseille within the university fosters the development of large-scale, multidisciplinary research projects and a culture of scientific excellence. AMU is firmly embedded in an innovative ecosystem, supported by projects such as CISAM +, the SATT, the Impulse incubator, etc. This unique environment brings research closer to the business world and enhances the role of management research.
CERGAM
CERGAM - Centre d'Études et de Recherche en Gestion d'Aix-Marseille (Aix-Marseille Centre for Management Studies and Research) is a research group (EA 4225) and one of France's leading management science research centers, with a membership of almost 150 teaching and research staff and doctoral students at the Universities of Aix-Marseille and Toulon. The unit is one of the main centers for the production of doctoral theses in management science in France, and one of the oldest French management research centers, founded in 1974.
CERGAM's mission is to promote research in management science. This research is embodied in doctoral theses (over 400 defended), publications and national and international scientific events. CERGAM provides its members with scientific and material support. CERGAM's doctoral students in management sciences are enrolled in doctoral schools 372 at Aix-Marseille Université and 509 at Université de Toulon. CERGAM is a member of two Aix-Marseille University institutes and two research federations.
