A petanque tournament in favor of the project "around Lucio

30/11/2022

Within the framework of the Humanistic Leadership UE, 9 students of the MSc 2 Marketing & Brand Management organized a petanque tournament to support the project "around Lucio" led by Luc Montigaud.

This MSc 2 Marketing and Service Management student is preparing to complete a 3285 km Tour de France, by bike and on foot, to support a cause that is dear to him. Suffering from dystonia, he is embarking on this great sporting challenge to raise awareness of disability and the inclusion of people with disabilities in companies.

This tournament, organized on November 23 in Puyricard, gathered more than 60 participants. Thanks to this initiative, 575 euros were collected, divided between the participants, the donations and the refreshment bar.

Congratulations to our student organizers for this great initiative and to all the participants who made this action a success.

What is the humanistic leadership project?

Building on its academic roots, IAE Aix-Marseille initiated in 2018 an ambitious project with a societal aim (humanitarian, social or environmental). This project aims to transmit to our participants the values of the institute, to cultivate a more human leadership, and to raise awareness of the economic, social and environmental role that future graduates will play in society so that they contribute to a sustainable society. The pedagogical dimension is supported by a service learning activity that combines management learning objectives with civic engagement with associations or NGOs. It promotes initiative-taking and civic engagement, and emphasizes critical thinking and personal reflection.

The research dimension is carried out by a third of our teacher-researchers who are working on themes related to this project. Two research chairs have also been set up to bring research closer to the problems of companies. This project has direct positive externalities on the associative (humanitarian, social or environmental) and socio-economic world thanks to the students' actions, the various events organized (such as the ADERSE congress), the exchanges with the different actors of these environments, and the Management Oath offered to future graduates at the time of graduation.
