Objectives

The MSc in General Management has been the core defining programme of the IAE since 1955. It prepares students for high-potential career prospects in positions which will test their leadership capacities every day.

  • This programme will offer recognition of your expertise in project management, your transversal approach of corporate issues and your capacity to encourage intercultural viewpoints and diversity.
  • The MSc in General Management trains students to use the tools necessary for quick and responsible decison-making in complex, international and evolving corporate contexts.
  • The programme's In-company workshops, International Seminars, Elective Courses, Team Building sessions, Business games, challenges and Study Tours will provide the overall, creative and original vision you will need to implement projects that make a difference and bring added-value to your firm and to your career.
  • Depending on in-coming students, the programme may either be proposed in French (French Track) or with full English tuition (English Track).

For this programmes AMGSM works in partnership with schools of engineering such as Arts et Métiers, Centrale Marseille to offer opportunities to get a dual degree for engineering students.

All kinds of previous studies background can be found in this programme's student profiles from engineering to social sciences, from pharmacy to technology, from human sciences to political science.

Job opportunities

Our graduates have an insertion rate of 97% within 3 months. The average first annual salary is 37 000 euros. The range of opportunities is very broad and depends on the student’s background. Graduates hold positions as project managers, business managers, production managers, quality managers, supply chain managers, etc. in major companies such as Airbus, Naval Group, EDF, Areva, Sodexho, CMA CGM, Bouygues or in consulting firms such as E & Y, PwC, Deloitte Touche, KPMG ... Dual competency is also an excellent basis for starting a business. Innovative companies such as Optimum Tracker, Secuderm, 3D Synthesis and Triaaangles have been created by graduates who chose this route.

Direct access to MSc 2nd Year

  • Open to holders of Master's degrees 1st year or 4-year university education diploma (240 ECTS) or more
  • or equivalent degrees (foreign degrees, certificate validating professional experience)

Application file content includes:

  • Management test results: TAGE MAGE management test or IAE Score Message (SIM), or GMAT
  • English tests results: TOEFL or TOEIC or IELTS

Professional project, background history, completed internships or positions held are carefully examined. Eligible applicants will be subjected to a jury-supervised motivation interview.
