4 MSc 2 International Business students on exchange at Kelley Business School

The MSc 2 International Business directed by Fanny Magnoni and Margit Munzer has been awarded the Académie d'Excellence label by the A*Midex committee supported by Aix-Marseille University. It has been granted a 3-year funding to reinforce the internationalization of the program and to accentuate the development of the international mobility of students and teaching teams.

Four students were selected this year to study in the MBA program at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University in the United States.

Since the beginning of January, Nathan, Martin, Emmanuel and Louis have been living a complete immersion on the Bloomington campus. They have the chance to take courses in business programming, brand asset management, business process design, effective communication, strategic sourcing and many others.

After more than two months on site, they testify:

Louis: "It is an incredible opportunity to be able to go to the United States to study for 4 months in an American university and to live an incredible experience full of meetings, exchanges and visits. Moreover, we integrate a renowned MBA with very interesting subjects that complement those of the IAE. Of course, it's an opportunity to practice our English in an English-speaking environment and to use this time to progress."

Manu: "I chose to apply for this exchange at Kelley because it represents the opportunity to live in the United States and to be in total immersion for a long period of time, and to be able to discover life on an American campus. We are confronted with different mentalities and ways of functioning compared to France and this is enriching. For most of our classes, we have to read academic or professional articles and make summaries of them and the group work is about book analyses related to a subject in the subject."

Nathan: "As soon as I heard about this exchange opportunity, the idea of studying at the Kelley School of Business for a semester immediately appealed to me. It was a unique opportunity to live in complete immersion in the United States, to live my own "American Dream". Moreover, this exchange is taking place in one of the best public universities in the country: beyond the cultural aspect, the exchange also represents a great opportunity to increase your academic and professional skills. The range of courses offered is vast, and I chose to take a majority of courses in Marketing (5 of the 8 courses I will take during this semester) in order to have more advanced skills in this field and thus broaden my professional horizons. All in all, it's a complete experience in every way, which will undoubtedly remain among the best of my academic career."

Martin: "Being at Kelley allows me to take courses such as entrepreneurship, leadership and practice, and business process design, which complete my profile and provide me with important notions for the career path I wish to achieve. In fact, in collaboration with a friend, I am in the process of creating my own business, and the entrepreneurship course allows me to have access to certain resources such as books that we are working on, which are beneficial to the success of my project. Kelley's pace also allows us to have free time to explore the area and plan weekend trips. With Manu (Emmanuel) we went to Las Vegas on a long weekend while Nathan and Louis went to the state of Kentucky to Louisville, the birthplace of Muhammad Ali and the capital of Bourbon."
